Scholarship Programs

Supporting Our Local Students

The school systems in our surrounding communities have generated some truly amazing students, and we are pleased to help these grads achieve their educational aspirations through our vocational and collegiate scholarship programs.

Since their inception in 1997, the scholarship programs have awarded more than 100 local students nearly $100,000 in scholarship money.

Each year, Oostburg State Bank awards up to three $1,000 scholarships to students entering a four-year collegiate program, and up to three $500 scholarships to students enrolling in a technical or vocational education program. There have even been years when we’ve awarded additional scholarships due to the high number of qualified candidates.

Awards for both programs are based on a combination of academic status, community involvement, character and leadership abilities.

While our intention is to provide scholarships to students who are also not currently receiving other substantial scholarships, we encourage all students who meet the requirements to apply.

Applications must be received by May 1.
