Why did you become a Mortgage Lender? Prior to being a mortgage lender I did underwriting/processing for five years, but I knew that I missed the client conversations and connections that I made with every person that I met. I have worked in the financial industry for 18 years starting as customer service, manager positions, underwriting/processing to end as a Mortgage Originator. This is the career that I see myself in for a very long time. Building trust and rapport with my clients is what sets me apart from others and I take pride in every loan transaction that is presented to me.
Favorite thing about being a mortgage lender: I love the challenge that every loan is different, so I am always learning which is key in this mortgage world! My favorite part if I had to pick one would be the education part. When I have a first time homebuyer, I enjoy answering all of their questions, making them feel comfortable about the purchase process and then the final day of closing to see them own their first home is the best part of my day!
What makes Sheboygan County a great place to live? I have lived in Sheboygan County for 16 years, it is a very family orientated county with much more on the horizon with home construction/manufacturing/other housing options that makes the area very appealing for young professionals. The Sheboygan County Chamber offers many outlets for people that are new to the area to see what is offered and try new things.
What do you do when you’re not working? I enjoy spending time with my husband, my two sons (13 & 11) and our cat named Peanut. We enjoy camping, other outdoor activities or heading up north for some great Northern fishing in either the summer or winter! I am also active in other organizations: President (Sheboygan Chapter) for Professional Women’s Connection, Ambassador (Oostburg State Bank) for the Sheboygan County Home Builders Association, Co-chair for AugustFest 2019 as part of the Oostburg Area Chamber of Commerce, and Junior Achievement!
